About Me
Born and Raised in New York City to two artists, embodied creative expression has always been an important part of my life.
At the same time, the fast-paced environment of the city alongside various health diagnoses (Asthma, IBS, chronic Lyme disease, hypermobility) and undiagnosed ADHD distanced me from my body. Instead of listening to sensations and symptoms, I learned to doubt them, to numb against them, and to keep on keeping on. For many of us, even those of us who are highly sensitive and intuitive, we are raised in a world that teaches us to ignore the ways in which our bodies speak to us and signal their need for support and holding.
Through my own personal experiences with healing, I have found my way back to the body. It is through a stance of intersectionality, of relational somatics, of magic, of curious compassion, and creative alchemy that I have accepted my own life long healing journey. It is also how I unearthed my passion for helping others reclaim their innate healing powers, and reconnect with their inherent wholeness. Through these experiences I have become well-versed in nervous system regulation, the power of movement practices (including dance therapy, art therapy, yoga, climbing, strength-training, and more), neuroplasticity, trauma healing, mindfulness, breath work, energy healing, and touch therapy.
I am also a latina, queer, and neurodivergent therapist who is currently in remission from chronic Lyme disease. All lived experiences that influence the way in which hold space and work with others.
My Approach
My work is deeply rooted in transformative justice, liberation psychology, expressive art practices, playfulness, authentic relating, and trauma-informed. I am also inspired by both my Puerto Rican and Irish heritage and weave ancestral magic, spirituality, astrology, and ritual into my practice for those that are also open. I work authentically and relationally so that we may honor your pacing, embrace non-linearity, reclaim joy, and unearth your unique and resilient inner wisdom.
My clients describe me as a directive, compassionate, and playful therapist that “definitely keeps it real” and embraces her own messy humanness while holding space in the therapy process.
I am a disability /chronic illness advocate, neurodivergence as strength practitioner, and also provide gender-affirming, poly-friendly, and kink-informed therapy.
I am bilingual in Spanish and English. Conversational in French.
